Well done!

At the start of your speaking part, formally greet your audience (Good morning/afternoon or Hello, class/fellow students) and introduce yourself (My name is _).

Woot! Nice catch.

When you speak, face your audience squarely and make eye contact with them. You can glance at your notes or slides from time to time, but don't read them to your listeners.

Hear, hear!

Project your voice so that everyone in the room can hear you. Refrain from holding items up in front of you when speaking.

You're, like, so, um, right!

Avoid using filler words
(um, yeah, so…, like, stuff).

Also, speak slowly and clearly so the audience can hear and understand you.

Spot on!

Speak intelligently about your topic by explaining important concepts with accurate vocabulary and logical organization.

Holla!

Give credit to your fellow group members' contributions.

Yes indeed!

Thank the audience for listening, both at the end of your part and the end of your group's presentation.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner.

It's easy to get distracted when presenting. Be sure to pay attention to what other members of your group are presenting. Avoid getting distracted by shiny things or crazy monkeys.
